In November 2024, we visited Chisholm Basic School to support the school community by donating essential supplies and hosting a day of fun activities. Our team engaged with students, parents, and teachers through face painting, games, and popcorn treats, bringing a sense of joy and connection.
The day offered a chance to interact with the people who are directly impacted by these efforts. Spending time with the children and speaking with their teachers reinforced the importance of community outreach and the value of supporting educational environments.
While our contributions were simple, the shared moments of laughter and connection left a lasting impression. We recognize that building community is about both providing resources and fostering relationships, and we look forward to continuing these efforts in the future.
In honour of Blind Awareness Month last October, Dr Terri-Karelle Reid, a media and communications practioner, partnered with the Digicel Foundation to launch a campaign aimed at enhancing the educational opportunities for blind and visually impaired students in Jamaica.
The campaign focuses on addressing the critical shortage of Braille machines at the Salvation Army School for the Blind – Jamaica’s sole school for blind and visually impaired students.

On Labor Day 2024, we dedicated our time and resources to transforming The Church of God of Prophecy Basic School. By painting classrooms, upgrading the playground, and adding vibrant decorations, we created a stimulating environment for young minds to grow and thrive.
